Principal Executives

John Callon, Managing Director

John is a former Sales & Marketing director for a global telecommunications service, where among other things he launched IP-based mobile data services for businesses and consumers which led him to consider the possibility of IP multimedia business communications which could leverage the Internet. Hence, CloudMeeting. He was raised in Germany, Japan, and the United States and has spent years working in Latin America, giving CloudMeeting its international pedigree. He holds MBA and undergraduate degrees from Stanford University.

Louis Zechtzer, Technical Director

Louis is a systems architect and published expert on distributed computing. He previously developed a high-performance supercomputer grid at NASA, and came to CloudMeeting from a Silicon Valley start-up which provided multi-tiered Web enterprise services. He has been a guest lecturer at U. del Altiplano, in Peru, and has a B.S. in Computer Science from San Jose State University.

Gustavo Ferreira, Director of Software Engineering

Gustavo is a voice, video, and data compression expert, and his expertise has been sought by Pixar Studios and Disney Studios, among others, on questions of motion capture and mathematical modeling. He is the founder of Ciclotron, a software development firm in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has a PhD from MIT in Aeronautical and Aerospace Engineering, where he focused on neurodynamics and voice and video compression. He has a D.Sc. and Masters in Computational Graphics from IMPA in Rio de Janeiro.

Antônio Jaco, Director of Product Strategy and Management

Antônio is a pioneer in e-business enterprise services in Brazil. He is a product integrator and services strategist with a focus on IT and telecom convergence, sought after as an e-business strategy consultant and seminar speaker. During 17 years of IT work experience, he co-founded an ISP (in 1996!) and has worked for the likes of BEA Systems, Xerox, and an IBM subsidiary where he launched the IBM RISC/6000 in Brazil. Antônio has a B.S. in Mathematics from Fundação Santo André in São Paulo, Brazil.

Advisory Board

Mark Callon, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati

Mark is an attorney with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, with a specialty in corporate finance and governance. He is Cloud Convergence' corporate secretary. Mark brings to the advisory board substantial experience representing technology companies, venture capital firms, and investment banks on a wide variety of matters, including corporate formation, venture capital financings, public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships. Mark also contributes a broad policy view from his years as a legislative aide in the U.S. Congress.

Mark received an A.B. in Political Science and a J.D. with Distinction from Stanford University.

Brian Pawlowski, Network Appliance

Brian is an expert on distributed computing, and currently serves as Vice President and Chief Architect of Network Appliance Inc., where he has worked on defining scalable architectures for storage for over a decade. He previously spent several years at Sun Microsystems developing distributed file systems, and provides an international perspective from his prior role as Chief Technical Officer of NetApps' European subsidiary.

He is co-architect of the Network File System (NFS) Version 3 protocol, and is co-chair of the IETF working group tasked with the design of the future of NFS, which includes high performance parallel I/O extensions and enhanced security. He has been working closely with the Linux community in defining standard implementations of NFS.

Scott Callon, Ichigo Asset Management

Scott is Partner and CEO of Ichigo Asset Management, an independent investment manager specializing in Japanese equities. Previously, Scott was Managing Director, Head of Equities, and member of the Executive Committee of Morgan Stanley Japan; Chairman of the Foreign Securities Council of the Japan Securities Dealers Association; and CEO of PCA Asset Management of the UK Prudential Group. He began his career in finance as a derivatives trader at Bankers Trust. He is also the author of Divided Sun: MITI and the Breakdown of Japanese High-Tech Industrial Policy, 1975-1993, winner of the Arisawa Prize. Scott has an A.B. from the Woodrow Wilson School, Princeton University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude (highest honors), and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stanford University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and is fluent in Japanese..

CloudMeeting is a global service launched in July 2004 by Cloud Convergence Ltd., incorporated in the United States, and Cloud Convergence Ltda., incorporated in Brazil.
