Telecom Italia Chooses Mobile Conferencing Partner

Telecom Italia Mobile (TIM) announced CloudMeeting as a TIM Application Partner during Futurecom, delivering on the promise of productive, multimedia conferencing which is truly anytime, anywhere.

Futurecom, the giant industry telecoms event held in South America binannually, was held this year in São Paulo, Brazil, and featured all of the major global telecommunications operators and IT companies, with giant stands from Telefonica, Cisco, IBM, Accenture and other global players mixing with hundreds of smaller exhibitors, along with a schedule of seminars and panels lasting four days.

CloudMeeting, which was showcased during the fair in TIM's stand, attracted considerable attention with live demos of its practical conferencing and real-time collaboration service. "CloudMeeting and mobile data access are a natural combination, with your notebook under your arm you don't have to miss a meeting and can present from anywhere, with networks like TIM's setting you free from your desk and CloudMeeting providing the full meeting productivity," observed John Callon, CloudMeeting's managing director.

CloudMeeting's unique MultiCloud QoS technology makes it especially well suited for business persons wanting to meet from wherever they are. "3G data networks are making possible a lot of mobility and productivity, but for real-time communications they present challenges as they are prone to higher latencies, packet loss, and variable bandwidth and congestion issues, especially if you are at the periphery of a coverage zone" explained Antonio Jaco, CloudMeeting's director of business development.
